Beauty and the Beast

Hi, I have been teaching myself  Macro photography. It is A LOT of trial and error. I have upgraded my camera to a Cannon 60D and have a 60mm macro USM canon lens. I set up a small table top studio to shoot jewelry and small objects. I bought some pink roses to try shooting flowers and this UGLY bug came with them. Sooooooo I shot him!. lol My first macro bug. Then I placed water drops on the petals of the rose. I had fun doing that. Getting the lighting just right was the trial and error part. (and chasing the bug) Creating shadows on  water drops took me a few tries but I like the effect. Reflection and shadow on the same drop. I learned also to use mirror lock up to reduce the vibration in the camera. I used a remote shutter release for the same reason. I do have to get a tripod that is more steady then the one I have. Thoughts so far? Shooting the unseen world is addictive.
